Then it finally worked and I was able to get into bios again. Then I connected everything and started the computer by touching the power pins on the motherboard with a screwdriver. This has happened to me before and the way I fixed it was to disconnect everything (including cmos battery) from the motherboard and let it sit for a few days.I also tried using good RAM and PSU from a friend. I too have tried to reset cmos, use new battery, disconnect devices, try USB and PS/2 keyboards. Keyboard doesn't respond to input and can't enter the bios. Or I let it boot without pressing anything, it hangs on "CMOS Checksum Error, Press F1 to continue or Del to enter setup". When I try hit "DEL" repeatedly to enter bios, it hangs on the splash screen. I am currently having the same problem as you but nothing about the USB.
